In Leaked Poll from Opponent, Jane Kim Shows Commanding Lead in Insurance Commissioner Race
SACRAMENTO – A poll memo on the California Insurance Commissioner race – commissioned by one of her opponents – is showing that Jane Kim is leading a crowded field of candidates. The poll, conducted by polling firm FM3 on behalf of Patrick Wolff, shows that her lead grows significantly when an equal amount of biographical information is given about all candidates.
The survey of likely June primary voters shows Kim leading the field among named candidates at 9% in initial vote share, putting her ahead of every other candidate in the race. When voters are given biographical information about the major Democratic candidates, Kim's support nearly triples to 23%, far outpacing every other candidate in the field.
Despite being designed to make the case for another candidate, the poll's own data shows that Jane Kim is the candidate with the strongest demonstrated potential in this race.
"Californians want an Insurance Commissioner who will fight to make insurance more affordable and available," said Jane Kim. "When voters learn about my record fighting for working families, they choose this campaign. We are going to take that message to every corner of this state."
