Come out! Eddy Zheng’s deportation hearing will definitely take place this Monday. Read my blog on Eddy HERE.

Here is a message from super-organizer, Anmol Chaddha. I wrote about him too.

It will last all day—until 4pm. Eddy will testify in the morning.

In the afternoon, the judge will hear testimony from his supporters, including the Assistant District Attorney who prosecuted him for his crime in 1986 (he will be testifying in support of Eddy), Reverend Norman Fong, and the president of the San Francisco Board of Education. The immigration judge may issue a decision that very day or very shortly afterward as to whether Eddy will be deported to China.

This is what Eddy Zheng and his supporters have been building toward for two decades—his release from prison and the ability to live with his family and be an active member of his community here in the US.

This hearing may very well be the final one in his long fight. Twenty years ago, Eddy was arrested as a 16-year old, beginning his long road of incarceration, detention, and rehabilitation. It is absolutely critical to pack the courtroom for this hearing. Come for all of it or any part that you can.

While the immigration authorities have been really affected by the continuing support for Eddy’s case, they have also become even more antagonistic toward Eddy and determined to make sure he is deported.

He really needs a huge show of support and a packed courtroom at his final hearing.

As always, you can check www.eddyzheng.com for updates and links to recent press coverage of Eddy’s case. He continues to regularly contribute to his blog.

Eddy and his family are very appreciative of the strong support you all have showed for them.
