finding yourself on youtube
An old friend emailed me after finding me on youtube. Of course. I actually did not know I was on youtube, but found three videos including my Inauguration Ceremony for the Board of Education which took place almost exactly a year ago, posted by the lovely blogger Glenda Bautista.
It includes Chris Daly’s (Supervisor and prolific progressive policymaker) introduction speech, who I asked to swear me in, and my official oath. For those of you that are surprised to hear me take the actual oath, given its language, I thought long and hard about the oath and what I was saying and what it meant to me before I took it.

For the SF political nerds, yes, Chris Daly and Gavin Newsom share the same stage and you can watch both of them throughout the clip. Kamala Harris, another political powerhouse, was also there to swear in Kimshree.
