keep on truckin'
A BIG thank you to Esther Morales, Kelly Dugan, Debra Walker, Tom Ammiano, Hallie Montoya-Tansey and Howard Wallace for making the Karoake Fundraiser at the Mint so successful on Friday night! I got to hear Hallie, director of the League of Young Voters, belt out soul and Howard, Pride at Work member and longtime activist, croon “Over the Rainbow.” It was fun to watch Michael Goldstein dance back up and Nicole Derse bust ou “Ice, Ice Baby.” She didn’t even look at the screen! Kelly, community organizer for Local 2, can also improvise Kelly Clarkson quite well. It was definitely SF activist/organizer Idol on Friday night at the Mint.
Thank you also to Katherine Ahern, Phil Suh, Tami and Carl Bryant, Karen Jo Koonan for hosting house parties and BBQ’s for me this weekend. It’s nice to have yummy food while on the run!
This weekend we walked 36 PRECINCTS in the Sunset, SOMA and Mission. THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers, The League of Young Voters and Jaynry Mak volunteers.
We have now walked 137 precincts!
